We have many fears

Human beings live in fear.

Why are we afraid? Human beings live in fear.

Stress, depression, anxiety with the most common diseases in the 21st century, most people are stressed and it is no other reason than because they are afraid.

We have many fears, but we don’t know why. In this conference, Jiddu Krishnamurti helps us to reflect. He offers us a point of view that explains why we are so afraid.

Fear is caused by our thoughts.

We spend our lives thinking about things that worry us and most of those thoughts are not real, or are beyond our control, unnecessary thoughts that make us suffer because they cause us fear. Krishnamurti states that one of the factors that provokes fear is our own thinking.

The other factor that causes us fear is the weather. We have no time for anything, and we are always worried about not having enough time to do anything. The big question Krishnamurti poses is: Are thought and time necessary.

It seems logical that we need to think in order to live, for example, we need to think in order to drive. But in psychological terms, in terms of the psyche, do we really need to think?

Krishnamurti affirms that thoughts and time are not necessary when we speak of inner existence and that, therefore, all the time you spend believing that time and thought are necessary, will be a time when you will be in fear.
