I don’t like my job and I don’t know why.

Are you happy in your job?

I don’t like my job and I don’t know why. It is a valued job, it gives me status, it gives me money and it is very well regarded, however, it does not make me happy. This is a message from Mario Alonso Puig

Many people are not happy in their jobs and they don’t really know why they are not happy. We live thinking that having a good job will make us happy and that it will give us everything we need to be happy. We have that belief, they tell us so at school, they tell us so at university, they tell us so at home, our friends tell us so, but…. have you ever wondered if that is really the case?

We spend our lives stressed, stressed about getting a degree, a status, a “good job”, a house, a family, and all these are external and alien to us, without looking at ourselves.

We think that being successful at work means status and money, we give ourselves value for the external and material, we identify ourselves so much with the job we pursue that we come to think that our value is the value of the job we have, “if you have a good job you are worth more”… nothing further from reality.

You are not your profession, you are not worth your job. Life is a race to achieve things, the problem is that when we have already achieved everything that supposedly would make us happy, when we study what we have to study and start working on what we have to work on, thinking that this way we will be happy in life, we realize that it is not so, as we interpret the words of Dr. Mario Alonso Puig.

That is where the awakening of consciousness begins, transformational change begins with the feeling of emptiness. The feeling of hitting bottom in the sense that we understand that what we have been doing for years does not make us happy and that all the things and goods we have achieved are useless if you are not at peace with yourself.

In this conference, Mario Alonso Puig talks about the feeling of emptiness, of not feeling motivated or fulfilled at work and the fear of change. We are afraid of change, afraid of the unknown in order to initiate change and start a truly transformative process from consciousness.

Don’t believe anything you just read, experiment and think for yourself.
